Last week Colin and I saw the 16 minutes of preview footage from Avatar!

the 3D wasn’t “all that and a bag of potato chips” during the live action stuff…and everything was super clean – the very first shot is the above mentioned scarred guy’s feet as he walks between some tables, and the floor is PERFECTLY clean.
Here is Sigourney Weaver (on the right) and her Avatar (on the left)…very cool similarities…
something that Colin and I talked about on our way to get drunk…the ADR was weird, like perfect…as if the actors did the ADR in a perfect sound studio (which of course they did) but many of the shots were exteriors that should have had a different kind of impulse response…if you know what I mean…
so, pretty fucking awesome…
I’m not thrilled with the character design – keeps them pretty deep in the Valley, but the IMAX res and the 3D was stunning…the environments, the camera work EVERYTHING was pretty fantastic, the animation was really amazing, the subtleties in the faces, especially the eyes…fantastic.
I hate to use words like ‘emersive’ etc…but, well…it was.
but what did Colin think?
oh and that actor that I fucking hate is it Avatar also…

in EVERY FUCKING THING she is in…

i went to the store
and on my way to the cash
apple turnovers where like “hey babies..check me out”
and i was all like “you want me to flip you over? flip you over and check your caloric content?”
so i did
and they were pretty good in the calorie department, so i brought them home
but that shit really goes out the window after you have hoofed three in a row into your gob
but really, how can you resist them..
